I offer you the opportunity to connect with an experienced Chartered Psychologist who brings clinical practice to you, without referral pathways and long waiting lists.
I am experienced in offering assessments and psychological therapy in the NHS, Local Authority services and private practice settings. My work is informed by several approaches, including; Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory.
In my aim to make mental health understandable, I support people to;
- explore their life experiences
- understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, behaviour and physical sensations
- understand themselves and others better
- learn to set boundaries and instigate change
- to feel heard
I am required to engage in clinical and managerial supervision to explore and review my workload and any issues arising from it to ensure professional and ethical practice. I follow the code of ethics from the British Psychological Society and Health and Care Professions Council.
Service charges
If you are an individual who will be paying for the service yourself, the fees are as follows:
- An optional 15 minute telephone conversation is offered before booking an assessment. This is free of charge.
- The ‘Assessment’ session lasts for one hour and costs £110.
- Each subsequent therapeutic session lasts for one hour and costs £110.
- Payment is due by bank transfer in advance of each session. Payment details are provided in the ‘Terms of Engagement’ document, which is provided when you book an assessment appointment.
Please note that all activity, whether direct or indirect incurs a charge, unless otherwise stated when contracting.
If you have a private healthcare insurance policy, please check your policy to see if they are willing to fund therapeutic support. If so, you can contact your insurer and request to work with me. I am registered with the following insurance companies as a mental health provider: BUPA, AXA Health, AVIVA, VITALITY HEALTH, WPA.
It may also be useful to know that some employers have schemes in place to provide funding for their employees to access therapeutic support. Telford Psychology accept referrals from the Electrical Industries Charity as an example of this.
For schools and corporate services, as I tailor my work to suit your team, I am happy to discuss pricing with you when we have agreed on how I will be working with you.
I ask that you give as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment – I will do the same. Appointments cancelled, not attended or rearranged with less than 24 hours notice will still be charged.
Safeguarding
When working in schools or organisations, I encourage a feedback system so that key adults can continue to support the young people I work with effectively. Information shared is discussed with the young person and typically they state what they wish to be known. I follow the safeguarding procedure of the setting in which I am working or commissioned. Where I am working with adults and/or children outside of an organisation, all information disclosed is treated as confidential unless we agree it would be helpful for it to be passed on and you invite us to do so.
The exceptions to this are where I judge there to be a risk of significant harm to yourself or others. I will endeavor to discuss any concerns with you but reserve the right to breach confidentiality without consultation should I deem the seriousness of risk require such action. For this reason, even when working online, I require basic details (address, contact etc) should I need to raise help for you in an emergency – medical or otherwise).
Thank you
